GameoutLoud PRIVACY POLICY & STATEMENT
1. Privacy Statement
This privacy statement covers the website and all associated services of www.gameoutloud.net . Privacy is important to GameoutLoud. GameoutLoud is committed to providing an experience which protects User privacy at all times. GameoutLoud is an independent web based Organisation whose mission is to enable individuals, and organisations, to establish trusting relationships while sharing information. By using the gameoutloud.net website, Users consent to the Data Practices described in this Privacy Statement. Any information Users provide will be held with care, and in accordance with the Data Protection Act (2005), and as such, will not be used in any way in which Users have not consented, or explicitly expressed. GameoutLoud respect personal identity, and information, by promoting the use of fair information practices. GameoutLoud does not use, or disclose, sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without explicit GameoutLoud user consent. All information collected on the GameoutLoud site will be kept strictly confidential. It will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed, or loaned, or otherwise shared in any way shape or form.
2. Privacy Policy
A) What Information does GameoutLoud collect and use?
*Information Collection*
GameoutLoud is the sole owner of the information collected on the gameoutloud.net website. GameoutLoud collects only information submitted by the User via website registration, banner-ads, mailing lists, contests, surveys, forums, sales of merchandise, etc... There are three categories of membership where GameoutLoud information can be displayed: personal information in the GameoutLoud database can be partially hidden by the User by editing the User Profile page. Staff have access to all personal information whether it be hidden or not.
*Links and Third Party Advertising*
The advertising appearing on the GameoutLoud website are delivered to GameoutLoud Users by web advertising partners. The advertising partners are not monitored by GameoutLoud: please be aware that GameoutLoud is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. GameoutLoud Users should be aware that when they leave the gameoutloud.net website to go to GameoutLoud's Advertiser's websites, to read the Advertisers Privacy Statements/Policies of their websites, as the Advertiser may also collect personal identifiable information. The GameoutLoud Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by the gameoutloud.net website, and does not include partnered, or linked, websites. Information about GameoutLoud Users visit to the GameoutLoud site, such as number of times Users have viewed an ad (but not User name, address, or other personal information), will be captured for GameoutLoud internal marketing purposes. The GameoutLoud Privacy Statement covers the use of cookies by the gameoutloud.net website only. The GameoutLoud Privacy Statement does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
*Log Files*
Like most standard web site servers GameoutLoud uses log files. Log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Please note that IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
*Use of Cookies*
The gameoutloud.net website use "cookies" to help you personalize the GameoutLoud User online experience. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to the Users computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to the User, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to the User. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that Users have returned to a specific page. For example, if Users personalize GameoutLoud pages, or register with the gameoutloud.net website or services, a cookie helps GameoutLoud recall the Users specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording User personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When Users return to the gameoutloud.net website, the information Users previously provided can be retrieved, so Users can easily access the GameoutLoud features that were customized. GameoutLoud Users have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but Users can usually modify browser settings to decline cookies if prefered. If Users choose to decline cookies, Users may not be able to fully experience the features of the gameoutloud.net website.
*Clear Gifs*
Some of the GameoutLoud third party advertising partners may employ software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs). Beacons help GameoutLoud manage the content on the gameoutloud.net website by informing about what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of GameoutLoud.com web Users. Clear gifs are not tied to users' personally identifiable information.
B) How are communications from the GameoutLoud website handled and used?
*Customer Service*
GameoutLoud communicates with Users on a regular basis to provide requested services, and continually improve the gameoutloud.net website services. GameoutLoud User account information is dealt with via email, in accordance with the GameoutLoud Users wishes. GameoutLoud monitors the Users Forum dialogue, and will not allow profanity of any nature to be used. In the first instance, language will be altered to acceptable wording. Continued language abuse will be reason for GameoutLoud to terminate access of the User to the gameoutloud.net website.
*Newsletters/email*
All Users subscribe to GameoutLoud mass emails by registering on the GameoutLoud website. GameoutLoud asks for simple contact information such as name and email address.
*Surveys [& Contests]*
The gameoutloud.net website may request information from Users via surveys or contests. Participation in GameoutLoud contests/surveys is completely voluntary. Participation in GameoutLoud contests/surveys will require transmission of personal information that will typically include general contact information, including geographic location. The GameoutLoud Survey contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. The GameoutLoud contact information may be shared with the contest/survey sponsors, and will not be divulged to other third parties.
*Security*
The gameoutloud.net website takes every precaution to protect GameoutLoud Users information. When GameoutLoud Users submit sensitive information via the gameoutloud.net website, their information is protected both online, and off-line. When GameoutLoud Registration/order Form asks for sensitive information, that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL.
*Supplementation of Information*
In order for the GameoutLoud website to properly fulfill its obligation to Users, it may be necessary for GameoutLoud to supplement the information in the GameoutLoud databases with information from 3rd party sources.
*Notification of Changes*
GameoutLoud reserves the right to change the GameoutLoud Privacy Policy. GameoutLoud will occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect Company and User feedback. Any changes to the GameoutLoud Privacy Policy will be notified in the Policy Statement. It is important for GameoutLoud Users to periodically review the Policy Section to be informed of how GameoutLoud is protecting User information.
*Intellectual Property*
If you would like to reproduce and/or use part of or all of GameoutLoud text in a printed document for educational, non-profit purposes you are welcome to do so, all GameoutLoud requires is that credit be given to GameoutLoud on the same document this information is reproduced, and that none of the text is modified or altered (if you would like to add your own comments feel free to do so by including them in parenthesis and establishing that the comments are that of GameoutLoud.) GameoutLoud does not give permission for any contents herein to be reproduced in whole, or in part, on another web page, or web site, (whatever the nature or purpose) or to be reproduced in whole, or in part in any publication, or collection of widespread circulation, whether offline or online, for whatever purpose. *Indemnity*
GameoutLoud does not guarantee that access to the gameoutloud.net website will be uninterrupted. Use of the gameoutloud.net website, and its contents, are entirely at the User's sole risk. The GameoutLoud User agrees to indemnify GameoutLoud against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site.
